Mission Statement
To provide the opportunity for students and postdocs at UCSF to learn about business in science.
We will give a special emphasis to the following fields:
- Management Consulting
- Venture capital
- Investment Banking
- Business Development
The Business Club at UCSF hosts a series of regular meetings with seminars by guest speakers from each of these fields as well as case interview preparation sessions.
All students and postdocs at UCSF are welcome to attend!

Drs. Martin Preuveneers and Elise Brownell will deliver a presentation entitled "DEVELOPING BIOTECH PRODUCTS IN TODAY'S CHANGING ENVIRONMENT". Drs. Preuveneers and Brownell are Founding Partners of ZephyrBiotech, LLC, a consutling firm specializing in helping emergent biotech ventures bring potential products from the laboratory bench into clinical trials and beyond. The Partners have extensive experience in biotech R & D and commercialization in large and start-up bio/pharmaceutical companies. They look forward to sharing their insights about "getting traction" in product development, especially in this current entrepreneurial.
